Look...all grown up! (message from Baby T)

Hello everyone! Well...we sure had a great Christmas this year...hope everyone else did too! Thanks again to everyone for all of our awesome gifts!
Just wanted to give a quick update...my mommy and daddy took me for a doctor check up today and we found out that mommy is up to 2cm dilated and 60% effaced (meaning cervix is getting thin and ready for delivery I think). We are at 36 weeks and 2 days today! She said that she would expect to have the baby in the next 2 weeks by the looks of everything....wow! We were real excited, and of course, well....surprised to hear it! But we realize that anything can happen so I guess we shouldn't get too excited yet! My doctor also said that I am 6 pounds, 2 oz today and that he would expect a 7 to 8 pound baby.

Should be an interesting New Years and LSU National Championship (since Daddy is going) - that's for sure!

Here is a pic from my 4D ultrasound today - not too easy to see my whole face. Oh and check out these cubby cheeks - must have some of mommy's round face in me!!!! Can't wait to meet you all - will keep you updated!

Merry Christmas!

Hello to all! Well....its just about here...Merry Christmas to everyone - hope that you have great holidays!!!!

We have about 4 weeks left until our "special delivery" arrives and we can't wait! We will be meeting with the Dr. next Friday to see how we are progressing, how Baby T is growing, etc. so we should now more then. We will give you another update then. Until then, so far so good and we will be busy celebrating the holidays with some family, friends, and hopefully a little relaxation!!

Hope that you like the Christmas tummy picture...it sure is growing by the day...feels like Baby T is ready to bust out of there from the feel and look of her/his elbows, feet, booty, etc. in my belly!

Enjoy the holidays...and of course, GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Hello from Baby T!

Hello everyone!!! Here I am last week at 32 weeks! (Sorry that my arm is in front of my face!) I weigh about 4 pounds and will continue to "put on the pounds" until delivery date...whenever that may be (in case I come before January 24, 2008)! I've heard that I look like my Daddy...and somehow I've managed to keep it a secret as to if I am a little girl or boy from my parents...Any thoughts??? As always, please feel free to post (my Mommy and Daddy always love to hear what you all have to say)! I am so excited to meet you all! Have a Happy Holiday season and GEAUX TIGERS!

Some pics for the holidays...

Hello to all! Hope everyone is having a very happy holiday season! We had a great Thanksgiving over at my sister Christine's in Covington on Thursday then the Thomas' on Sunday and we look forward to a very Merry Christmas with everyone(I think in New Orleans/Covington this year). Bummer is that we only have Christmas Day off of work so we'll have to fit lots in in that time...either way, we are looking forward to Christmas time!!! Here are some pics from Thanksgiving and then Mike and I getting the Christmas Tree ready at our house (you'll see Mike putting the angel on our tree...symbolic for us awaiting our little angel to come?? - shortly after Christmas time we expect...)

(For those of you requesting the "progression pics", there's a couple of belly pics too :) )

Welcome to the 60s!

Happy Birthday Mom! In celebration of my mom's birthday, we had a 60's party Saturday night at Henry's bar (uptown New Orleans - on Magazine). It was a blast and the costumes were quite entertaining. Mike and I dressed in our favorite Woodstock attire (Mike was walking around saying "Peace Man" all night...and yes, those are blonde wigs on us!!)

We are looking forward to a short three day work week and then enjoying holidays!! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Mike and I sure do have lots to be thankful for this year!!

Is it already Holiday time?!

Hello all! Sorry to not have been giving more timely updates. I hope to post some pics this weekend (I can only post pics from Mike's computer). Hope you all are doing well! And Congrats to Carrie on her new baby boy - how exciting! (Carrie, keep posting pics please!!)

As a quick update here...a few weeks ago we determined that I have some extent of gestational diabetes. From there, I have been meeting with the dieticians and staying on top of a new diet which basically consists of eating small meals throughout the day rather than your typical breakfast, lunch and dinner. So far, so good...my sugar levels have stayed at a good level so hopefully we can keep this up. Also today I had my 2 week appmt and my doctor said that I even lost 4 pounds since my last visit...interesting! Baby T was moving all around at the appmt today and her/his strong heartbeat was in the 140's again. Next step is to meet with maternal fetal medicene the week following Thanksgiving and begin our weekly ultrasounds to check on the size of Baby T...just to make sure that Baby T is growing on track (and not getting too much sugar and getting too big!). Will keep you all posted...

Really can't believe that its Thanksgiving already next week and then......CHRISTMAS! Ahhh! Only 10 more weeks (at most I guess) until our VERY special holiday present....we can't wait!

Staying busy...

Hello to all! Hope everyone has been doing well! Since I've posted last, the Thomas family has been fairly busy! Here goes as a quick summary update...

On September 30, I turned the ripe old age of 28! Some of our family and friends were up to coming to eat brunch with us at the Chimes for my b-day and it was great - lot of great food, family and fun. For my b-day present from my great hubby, I got a real nice camera - so now, we can actually post pics out here for yall! Thanks again for celebrating with us everyone - it was a very special b-day!

Went to Covington this past Saturday for the day to visit with the fam...what a beautiful day it was! I got to make it to my nephew's (and godchild) football game - he plays for the Covington Vickings and is looking like quite the MVP of the family these days. He just turned nine, can you believe it - looks like he should be playing for LSU!

Brittany, Mike's sister is about ready to pop so a few of us were trying to "talk" and even sing baby Trey out on Saturday evening (thanks for the entertainment Brandy and Jan!) She has made a little progess so we expect that she will have him in the next week!

And today, dear husband and I got to move the rest of the furniture into the baby's room - how exciting! Thanks to Knoblochs for their very much appreciated contributions! Also, Mike stained our new front door...which is also very exciting - the house is coming along!!!
Baby T Update - we are 26 weeks already! Baby T is doing great. Daddy to Be is starting to feel the baby more and more - which is exciting! We are counting down the days until we get to meet her/him...

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Update

Hello everyone! Hope all is well and hope to hear about you guys too!! Here's a quick update from the Thomas family...first, Baby T is doing great! We had our "big" ultrasound this Monday morning and we saw that everything looked just great. Baby T had a strong heartbeat of 152...that's always so amazing and so nice to hear and see!! Mommy and daddy-to be's stayed strong and told the ultrasound tech that we did not want to know...although she said that she knew! We are at 23 weeks now so it will be a long third trimester (and a little bit more of the second) anticipating the arrival of our angel!

We hope to get a new camera real soon and when we do, we will start posting some pics on here too...maybe even a progression pic or two.

Besides that, we are staying busy, as usual, especially with LSU football season here. GEAUX TIGERS!

Baby T

Hello Baby T!! This is the most recent photo I have but it is from our 12 week ultrasound, when the Doctor said that he/she looks great and heartbeat was at 173 which was great! That was so relieving and amazing to see the baby for the first time. Currently, I am in my 19th week and I should have another (the "big") ultrasound in just a few weeks (@ week 22). We can't wait to get another glipmse. I have been feeling great and really not so different yet but I bet September will be a big month for us! We can't wait to have that next look at Baby T and really can't wait until his/her arrival!!
